Aden Young lands US series

Aden Young nabs the lead role in Rectify, a new legal drama for the Sundance Channel.

Aden Young is the latest Aussie to land a US TV role.

He will play Daniel Holden in Rectify, a legal drama created by Oscar winner Ray McKinnon (The Accountant) for the Sundance channel.

Holden must put his life back together after serving 19 years on Georgia’s Death Row before DNA evidence calls his conviction into question.

The supporting cast includes Abigail Spencer (who stars as Holden’s sister), Clayne Crawford (who plays his step-brother), Jonah Lotan (as his lawyer) and J. Smith Cameron (who stars as Holden’s mother).

Sundance Channel will also screen the upcoming Jane Campion miniseries Top of the Lake, but Rectify is its first in-house original scripted series.

It premieres in 2013.

He also appears in the upcoming film Killer Elite.
