Former Big Love star, the always-engaging Jeanne Tripplehorn is joining Criminal Minds as a new regular.
Deadline reports she will play a new FBI profiler, although details about the character are still being fleshed out.
Executive producer/showrunner Erica Messer said, “We’re thrilled to have Jeanne Tripplehorn join our team as a profiler.
“It’s an exciting way to start season 8.”
In addition Tripplehorn has closed a deal with CBS and CBS TV Studios to develop a comedy project, following appearances on New Girl.
I swear I saw an ad for new episode of criminal minds the other day. Anyone know what day/date it is returning??
I record shows and will watch them in pairs. I still have episode 1 sitting there on my PVR, waiting for a second episode. It’s been there since april 11.

@ Nessa — It’s even worse than you thought. Ch 7 only showed the *first* episode of Season 7, then pulled the show. It looks like it’ll be a long time before we see Season 8 and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
And when is Ch 7 planning to resume airing the latest season of CM? It disappeared after what, 2 episodes?
