Rusty’s secret visit to Dancing with the Stars

There were shocked looks all round last night when Russell Crowe dropped into the studios at the end of Dancing with the Stars.

Only about three people on the Seven production knew he was going to make an appearance, to support wife Danielle Spencer.

Crowe had flown in from London on Saturday and surprised Spencer by bringing along their two boys last night.

The show was already running late, but there was no way host Daniel MacPherson was going to miss having an A-List Hollywood star on the show, despite having only just bid farewell to Dame Edna.

Many had been wondering for weeks whether ‘Mr. Spencer’ would be watching in the audience one week.

Crowe said he had been able to keep up with his wife’s performances whilst overseas thanks to “some naughty people” and YouTube.

He has also been helping her in the voting department by urging his Twitter followers to back Spencer for the series title, and pal Hugh Jackman also asked his followers to do the same.

It certainly gives Spencer a bit of star power over her remaining competition, Zoe Cramond and Johnny Ruffo.
