Sarah Murdoch confirmed to host Everybody Dance Now

Update Sarah Murdoch is confirmed to host Everybody Dance Now, with Kelly Rowland and Jason DeRulo as Dance Masters.

Sarah Murdoch has confirmed she will host Everybody Dance Now.

Murdoch confirmed the position, as first revealed by TV Tonight, to the Sunday Herald Sun.

The TEN talent show will be filmed live.

“I love doing live television,” she said.

“I would rather be in the moment with the audience.”

Auditions have been underway around the country.

It airs on TEN later this year.

Murdoch also told the Sunday Telegraph she was asked to co-host Breakfast.

“They asked me but it was very, very early in the piece. And I was tempted, I love live TV and that mix of news and entertainment,” she said.

UPDATE: TEN also announces Kelly Rowland and Jason DeRulo as Dance Masters, with Jason Gilkinson as Creative Director. Two dance captains are yet to be announced. The production will be Melbourne based.

Chief Programming Officer David Mott says: “Last month we promised a number of key talent announcements and I’m sure you’ll agree the signing of Sarah, Jason and Kelly proves our commitment to securing the best people for our programs.

“We are thrilled about Everybody Dance Now and our return to big event television. Dynamic, creative and inspiring, Sarah, Jason and Kelly are the perfect fit for this fantastic new format – only good things lie ahead”.

  1. She dodged a bullet in not getting the Breakfast gig..

although her with Dr Dimples would have made for good looking television. Not to take anything away from Kath Robinson though (just in case she reads this blog)

  2. “it airs on ten later this year” oh does it? i’ll hold them to that. if they are only doing preliminary auditions now i don’t think that is possible at all. surely this has happened enough times that we have learned to ignore sentences like these, remember we were originally told The Voice would air at the end of 2011 up against the X factor, then it was february, and didn’t air until late April.
