The Block meets Hot Seat

By David Knox on June 22, 2012 / Filed Under Programming 3

In the run-up to their grand final the contestants on The Block will take to the Hot Seat on Nine.

The four couples will compete for money for charity.

This Monday on Millionaire Hot Seat the four couples from The Block go head-to-head as they attempt to win $1 million for the charity of their choice.

We’ve watched them work their renovation magic on The Block. Now host Eddie McGuire will ask the tough questions as Australia’s favourite renovators put their minds to the test to win the top prize.

They know how to work power tools, but do these couples have the brainpower to reach the million-dollar question and win the big bucks for their chosen charity?

Brothers Mike and Andrew will be playing for Movember Australia, while Brad and Lara represent the Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia. Dan and Dani will play for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria, and newlyweds Sophie and Dale hope to fill the coffers for Parkinson’s Australia.

With The Block Grand Finale set for Sunday, July 1, at 6.30pm, the four couples have been focused on auction day. Next week they take on a very different kind of challenge on Millionaire Hot Seat.

In over 700 episodes of Hot Seat no one has yet managed to take home the million-dollar cheque. Can one of our “Blockheads” make Hot Seat history?

5:30pm Monday on Nine.

This kind of cross-promotion usually puts viewers off programs rather than encouraging them to watch.

None of those couples exactly shines as the brightest crayons in the box so i have no idea who’ll win.

Cross promotion meltdown on the way.
Even the “contestants” get a guernsey in EJ Whitten legends match.
