Today show heads to Disneyland

By David Knox on June 20, 2012 / Filed Under Programming 14

Nine’s Today show team are off to Disneyland in Anaheim, California, next week (all except for poor Georgie Gardner and Ben Fordham who have to stay stuck in Sydney).

Could The Morning Show please be sure to leave the hotel rooms as they found them? Thankyou.

Wake up with the Today when it broadcasts Live from Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth, all next week on Channel Nine.

Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson, Richard Wilkins, Steve Jacobs and Richard Reid will broadcast from both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park from Monday, June 25, to Friday, June 29.

They’ll be showing off all the thrills of the brand new CarsLand – and Mater and Lightning McQueen will show us a great time there in Radiator Springs.

Find out who has the guts to take on the enormous California Screamin’ rollercoaster and who will face their fears on the dreaded Tower of Terror.

And of course, there will be plenty of time with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Mater, Lightning McQueen and all the Disney Princesses.

Meanwhile, keeping viewers up to date with all the local news and sport, Georgie Gardner and Ben Fordham will be Live in the Today studio.

I am guessing this is to celebrate the ‘Today Show’ 30 year anniversary? Or something separate?

Carsland is brand new so it’s obviously a strategic move.

I think that has more to do with the fact that Disney owns ABC than anything else.

Going to Disneyland is jumping the shark? Didn’t they go there in Modern Family…? :)

Modern Family recently went to Disneyland. :o

It’s a bit strange they choose to her their 30th anniversary overseas.

Hahaha ok. Miss that site. Ted McGinley was very sharky….

I’m sure the old Jump The Shark website had a “They go to Disneyland” category. It was up there with having Ted McGinley joining your cast or a lead charterer leaving without explanation

Goofy is the one who had a big night on the parade and turns up a bit blotto next day.

Karl and Goofy together – will we be able to tell which is which ?

Isn’t a show going to Disneyland a sign a show is jumping the shark?

Me thinks Georgie will enjoy the quiet time between crosses. I can imagine her one foot jammed in the fire escape door, the rest of her puffing back a Longbeach. God I love her.
