Kennedy Awards 2012: nominees

Nominees have been announced in the inaugural Kennedy Awards for Excellence in NSW Journalism.

Nominees have been announced in the inaugural Kennedy Awards for Excellence in NSW Journalism.

These have been established in honour of crime reporter Les Kennedy (pictured) who died last year.

Amongst the nominees are television journalists, presenters and cameramen from ABC, TEN, Nine, Seven and SBS.

They include Matt Doran, Quentin McDermott, Tracy Grimshaw, Paul “Bowie” Bousfield and Paul Kadak, whose recent story on the death of Molly Lord currently sees Seven News in the midst of a social media backlash.

The awards will be hosted by Ellen Fanning in Sydney on August 10.
