One Direction set for X Factor appearance

Not content with landing Justin Bieber for Australia's Got Talent, Seven has scored an appearance on The X Factor by One Direction.

Not content with landing Justin Bieber for Australia’s Got Talent and Sunrise, Seven has scored an appearance on The X Factor by teen sensation, One Direction.

The Brit boy band were themselves discovered on the UK edition of the talent show, so it’s no surprise that they found time in their busy schedule to give some love back to the Simon Cowell-owned series.

Presumably their appearance was filmed during their recent Australian visit during the audition stages, but keeping it under wraps was a pretty good achievement for this long.

Seven promos are also pushing the line that this year the show “is different,” presumably because The Voice has upstaged every other talent show in the country. Promos also make a big deal of discoveries such as Reece Mastin while Altiyan Childs is conspicuous by his absence.

The series returns soon on Seven.

  1. @jonno. The Altiyan incident goes against everything this show is is trying to achieve so I in promoting their show i don’t think they want their audience to remember that.

I doubt many shows continue their duty of care after the final episode. It’s also the same network that brings us Today Tonight so i don’t like your chances.

  2. I fail to see how “X Factor” will be so different, considering I can’t tell the difference between it and the AGT promos on seven…. they both look far too similar.

  3. Alityan might be troubled soul but xfactor should not ignore him. They put him on the big stage knowing he had problems. They milked the whole cave incident on all their shows so they have a duty of care with the fallout.
