Renewed: Dallas

By David Knox on July 1, 2012 / Filed Under News, Top Stories 6

The reboot of Dallas has been renewed for a second season.

The primetime soap will have 15 episodes in 2013.

Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TNT said in a statementm ’Dallas has been a success for us on every level: pitch-perfect writing, smart directing and buzz-worthy performances by a new generation of stars and their iconic counterparts.

“With Dallas’ top-flight ratings, robust growth through time-shifted viewing and the extensive online buzz, it’s clear the Ewings of Southfork have once again captured the imagination of viewers.”

So far there isn’t any word on whether all of the cast are also returning.

Nine will air Dallas later this year.

That didn’t take long, now the question is how long will it last on Nine?

Am loving the reboot. Very faithful to the original series, characters and story lines and the new cast are finding their feet well.

Watching Larry Hagman steal every scene he’s in is to watch a master at work – he hasn’t lost a thing despite his age (80!) and battling cancer during filming.

Okay…renewed and we have not even seen the 1st series…and that answers my next question…it is Ch.9 that is sitting on their hands.. :?

I have never seen Dallas repeated on either Free to air or Foxtel. I would watch it, if it was.

The younger cast members look so much alike to me (could it be the expensive American teeth?) that I keep forgetting who is who.

I wonder will they repeat the earlier series on Gem or GO ?
