US drama Unforgettable has officially been thrown a lifeline by CBS after being cancelled in May.
The series starring Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh has picked been picked up for 13 new episodes, to air in the US summer.
After the series was cancelled by CBS, Sony Pictures TV began actively shopping the series to other networks, including TNT and Lifetime, while also pursuing a resurrection at CBS where it eventually started renewal negotiations.
CBS usually sticks to unscripted content and reruns of scripted shows in the off-season but Unforgettable will be its highest profile summer series.
The series airs on Nine in Australia.
