  1. Secret Squirrel

Randling lost half of its lead-in from Gruen. Please ABC, take it off Wednesdays. Life’s Too Short deserves better.

@The Moops – you can’t meaningfully compare the ratings that a show gets now with what it got two years ago – the TV landscape has changed a lot in that time.

  2. Channel Seven would be very disappointed with those numbers for AGT. It was a giant killer last year, constantly rated well, but it was mortally wounded this year by The Voice. It is clear that two talent shows cannot run concurrently on Aussie TV – there is only room for one at a time. I guess Seven have a big decision to make re AGT’s future. Do they axe it or chance running it up against The Voice again? I doubt whether they are going to commit ratings suicide two years running, so they should axe it or rest it for a couple of years.

MCA has clearly lost momentum, despite this season being light years ahead of last season. Season Two finale rated almost double those numbers, if my memory serves me correctly

  3. bettestreep2008

The MCA finale barely cracks the 2m mark, the AGT finale (seriously it really was this time) couldn’t crack 1m and Nine once again couldn’t be bothered and came 4th behind ABC1.

I’m surprised by the results – I honestly thought MC and AGT would have been a lot closer.

I wonder what the production costs of the two shows were – to see which delivered a better rate of return on investment?

    Just curious

  4. [email protected]

Masterchef returns to the figures it enjoyed in previous seasons – a shame it’s taken so long to get there.

In other news (!) I’d be surprised if Aus Got Tal returns after this outing – very bland season.

Meanwhile, an apology to Hamish and Andy – really thought this years Gap Euro would send viewers away in droves – you’ve kept the viewers glued to the screen – a real achievement for 9…
