The numbers for the State of Origin are phenomenal. I am an AFL fan, but have to say that rugby league has a great product in State of Origin.
I have been saying for some time now that the marquee game each weekend should be Sunday night, not Friday night (both codes). There are more people in their loungerooms on Sunday night than Friday night. The numbers for this game prove the point that people will watch a good game if they are home.
My view is that the first of the two big codes to embrace Sunday night football will become the dominant code in this country. The proviso is that this marquee game matches teams from more than one city. Based on current scheduling, I’m not sure the AFL get that.
Pretty good numbers there for Masterchef.
No overlap between SoO and MC it seems, but either people have lost interest in AGT or there is a large overlap because those numbers do not look good.
I’d say Offspring numbers are pretty good for TEN actually. It’s a fantastic show that deserves good ratings.
