Charne first out of the Big Brother House

By David Knox on August 27, 2012 / Filed Under News, Top Stories 14

Gold Coast singer Charne White was the first housemate evicted from Big Brother 2012.

31 year old White was booted with 24% of ‘save’ votes ahead of Estelle (27%) and Layla (49%).

“It’s such an exhilarating feeling,” she said. “I knew I’d either be the first or the last to go.”

White works at Draculas Theatre Restaurant on the Gold Coast, not far from the Dreamworld location where the series is filmed.

The retro glamour gal who suffers obsessive compulsive disorder said it had been difficult to adjust in the BB house and she had missed singing, her mother and friends. She tipped Benjamin to win the series.

Earlier in the night the male housemates boys failed their test to correctly match the girls with their secrets which sees one of them automatically evicted next Sunday night.

All housemates will nominate in a Live episode tonight at 7pm on Nine.

How uncomfortable just standing there talking, so needs a couch. Certainly hasn’t got that same feeling it use too.

I noticed Sonia was asking every question out of the Gretel Killeen post eviction playbook. Looks like there isn’t much chance of further questioning apart from the BB staples…

Yes a few people have mentioned the lack of a couch and the limited time with the evictee.

Really didn’t like them telling the housemates who had the highest save vote. It was a big enough deal telling the audience (they never used to tell who was who in the results), but to actually spead outside info amongst the housemates?

What about all those times Gretel would say ‘quiet as a mouse’ as they didn’t want them hearing anything from the outside, and how those like Regina got frazzled when she heard the audience cheering for her as the other housemates did. Yet here is Sonia straight out telling them that one of them got the most votes to save?

Then what was with no seat to sit on.. they didn’t give any prizes unfortunately but they at least need a seat! There was always a famous couch on that stage to sit on after they’ve been evicted.

I did like the much quicker interview with the evictee that is one thing that nine has done right over the ten version which used to drag on forever

Charne probably should have told the housemates about her OCD. Because many of the reasons given for her nomination seemed to be because of OCD traits.

Messy re voting. Scores of people misunderstood the Facebook direction to vote and thought just putting a name down on the wall would count. It didn’t but hundreds put names down that way.

No confirmations on sms votes. People have checked that, yes, indeed, the money was taken from their accounts for the votes, but no confirmation as supposed to be given. So, were the votes counted?? No-one knows.

@ The Other Adam, they did show Charne who nominated her in one of the video packages.

Was a weird eviction and very rushed ….no couch? And they didn’t get to see who nominated them which is always fun

    Bring back Gretel :(
