I knew BB would be big. Its the interest factor of what the contestants are like.

A show which I will miss monday nights is Body of Proof. I love that show and last nights finale was fantastic right to the end.

  2. Gutwagon August 14, 2012 at 3:46 pm -

Lets hope Australias Next Top Model can get Sarah back and get back on air asap .

  3. bettestreep2008 August 14, 2012 at 3:18 pm -

The ads for EDN highlighed Sarah, Kelly and Jason. If they focused more on the actual ‘dancers’ it might have rated better.

Same thing happened when they sacked Gretel from BB and hired the kiss of death Jackie O and that thing Kyle. Ten promoted BB as being all about the hosts and not the housemates.
And everyone remembers how BB fared with the new hosts.

I believe Ten will pull EDN off their main channel by tomorrow and then shorten it’s run from 5 weeks to 3 and screen it on Eleven.

Along with Bingle, Shire and now EDN – Ten management have really spent a lot of money on total fizzers.

Oh well – as long as Paul Henry and Andrew Bolt are on air – Gina and Murdoch are happy.

  4. rad August 14, 2012 at 1:48 pm -

Ten should move the news to 5.30, keep it one hour in length. Then Project 6.30-7.00 and Modern Family repeats 7.00 to 7.30.

Ten has sunk so low since Murdoch became involved there. Just don’t see anything positive coming out of the change in ownership and management.

  5. Gutwagon August 14, 2012 at 1:06 pm -

I’m a BB fan and I watched last night. Very disappointed that there is no live streaming, no uplate, no uncut. How can we get to know these people by seeing very short edited pieces.
I thought the host was an improvement on Kyle and Jacki , would be hard to find someone worse than them but I still miss Gretel.
I think the ratings will drop rapidly over the next few weeks. I know I wont be watching anymore.
Ten should have kept this show, it rates better than their new stuff.

  6. randwick August 14, 2012 at 12:46 pm -

Congratulations ten you have manged to make it into single figures last night …..

  7. Leigh H August 14, 2012 at 11:44 am -

I think the problem with EDN is that as amazing as the dancers are, I’m not sure dancing alone can sustain interest for 2 hours. I think it should be stripped at 7pm for 30 mintues if it is to have any chance. I could be wrong though. BB looked promising, seems to have gone back to the glory days of the earlier seasons.

  8. oztvheritage August 14, 2012 at 11:32 am -

Can you believe the discussions that would be happening at TEN this morning! A show of this investment. Not making the nightly top 20 by a loooong way. Bad programming – First night Olympics and second night Big Brother launch. It was never going to do well the second night given the same demographic. Can’t anybody look at the WIP of a show like EDN and see it’s not going to work. How many failures can this board be associated with? With a few more potentials coming next week. Hopefully Puberty Blues does OK!!!

  9. italianguy1987 August 14, 2012 at 10:57 am -

I think EDN bombed because of two things

1 – They need to start from beginning and show auditions and how people got to where they are now. Don’t start with the groups already chosen. The public want to see these people preform and audition.

2 – Not much public interaction. Let the voting public ring up and decide who goes into the next round. Don’t let a studio audience vote and let the people at home have no power. What is the point of us watching it then??

I think they should take the show off air, re-work it and bring it back around Feb/March next year.

Yes, Sarah looks uncomfortable on tv as a host but I still think she is good for the show. They need to make it seem more real to the public watching.

Also when they go their 30 second dance at the end, I thought I was watching a re-play of the persons dance earlier in the night before I realised it was their real 30 sec dance. The way the show was edited made it feel that way. Bad choice!!

The ads for the show were good but the show itself was bad. Re-work it and bring it back. I still believe in the format.

  10. wwenrl August 14, 2012 at 10:41 am -

That’s right i said it before Big Brother is the Best!! and it will Smash the Ratings and i was right, i know it’s the first day, but it will get even better later on.

And that’s right David! EDN has massive Problems, because that show is Crap! those shows are so lame now, plus there programmers are indeed the worst. It will get Cancelled Soon!!!

  11. Craig August 14, 2012 at 10:20 am -

That was a bad night for TEN and EDN, personally I don’t watch reality and dance shows like EDN and BB so nothing much interested me last night apart from 4 Corners on ABC and Media Watch. I do wonder how long the BB honeymoon will last.

Yes BB looks like a hit right now but were people just tuning in check it out after years off the air? Time will tell.

I agree EDN will likely be replaced but NCIS in the not too distant future.

  12. Lizzie May August 14, 2012 at 10:16 am -

I watched EDN on the first night and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was awkward. Very bad judgement from Ten. And let’s talk about the elephant in the room – who wants to watch a Murdoch or anything about them on tv these days? But I actually feel sorry for Sarah being associated with this pile of do-do.

Could you imagine what’s going on in the halls of power at Ten. Perhaps there’s a good reality show in that…hmm…

  13. bettestreep2008 August 14, 2012 at 9:56 am -

EDN is turning out to be a bigger stinker than Breakfast, Shire and Lara Bingle.

It will be on Eleven by next week – and replaced by NCIS repeats!

And what a surprise – Big Brother is a huge success!

  14. JB August 14, 2012 at 9:56 am -

As i said in yesterdays post, anyone could see Everybody Dance Now would bomb. everyone but Ten. Ten officially have the worst programmers. EDN, The Shire, Lara Bingle, I Will Survive, Don’t Tell The Bride…these shows should never have been approved. The latter 2 will tank as well

  15. Mr. J August 14, 2012 at 9:46 am -

EDN would have come 7th in its timeslot for some parts of the episodes duration.

  16. ohdenny August 14, 2012 at 9:39 am -

Wow that’s disastrous. All-Stars only pulling 700,000 too.

I hope Puberty Blues finds success.

  17. C-Boy August 14, 2012 at 9:39 am -

What rank was Everybody Dance Now?

The Australian public are not interested in the show because they skipped auditions and they are not familiar with Kelly’s ghetto talk. Plus she’s not that popular in Australia like her Destiny’s Child pal Beyonce!

  18. Kenny August 14, 2012 at 9:34 am -

Looks live everybody danced right out of the room!
Bad when more viewers are watching 7mate than TEN, and ABC1 beats TEN by almost 5 points.

  19. David Knox August 14, 2012 at 9:29 am -

Big problems for TEN. Everybody Dance Now was just 304,000.
