Police were searching the grounds of Wollongong’s WIN headquarters yesterday, for the body of a missing man believed to be murdered and buried on the property.
Detectives from Strike Force Franey searched the Mt Saint Thomas grounds, which are surrounded by bushland, for the body of Nick Katopodis.
Police allege the 45-year-old was murdered in July last year at a nearby home on Gladstone Avenue after a night out with friends at the Wollongong Hellenic Club.
A 40-year-old man was charged in September with his murder.
He is due to be arraigned in the New South Wales Supreme Court in Sydney today.
The search had concluded by 2.30pm and had not turned up anything of interest.
