Returning: Dallas

By David Knox on August 11, 2012 / Filed Under Programming 7

Nine will premiere the revival of Dallas at 9pm Wednesday August 22nd, following The Farmer Wants a Wife.

The series is just wrapping up in the US so avoid online Spoilers. It has already been approved for a second season.

Nervous about how this will stack up as an on-going entity, but looking forward to it all the same…

Horray!! Can’t wait to see it!! If it’s on the same time as Puberty Blues well then Puberty Blues will get the boot in my household!!! Hoping Channel 9 give it a fair go!!!!

It should do well.I was only a kid when the original was about but my now late father loved the show.

Looking forward to this, but not sure how well it will rate in that timeslot.

Oh well, at least we didn’t have to wait for this as long as the Melrose Place remake.

I thought they’d at least try to maximise the numbers by scheduling it at 8.30pm sometime. But I guess they think reality is more reliable. Not a good message to the viewers unless Seven is doing it too. Oh well.

Ugh, my fear was that it was going to clash with Puberty Blues, and it is. I was hoping for maybe a Thursday.

Love it. Never seen the original, but this reboot is really good. Got the same juicy intrigue as Revenge. Don’t need to have seen the original to get into this.

Shame it’s on Nine. They’ll screw it around, it’ll start at 9.22, and it’ll rate poorly.

The first season was a ripper. The blend of the old characters with the new worked really well. Banging finale that sets up an exciting second season which will be a little longer at 15 episodes.
