Double episodes, I personally hate them, and they push a brilliant show like Suits back to 11.00 pm. I just do not get, why not put whatever GCB is to 7Two after Heartbeat. I am sorry all this reality stuff, sorry contrived reality stuff is so so, but real reality like the excellent Sea Patrol on Gem is superb.
@ Guy would love to see Revenge back for 7 eps before the end of the year.
Monday nights are my fave night. I was always into Desperate Housewives (when Aussie Drama was absent) and Brothers and Sisters on Mondays, then Revenge and now GCB it is always a guilty pleasure of how warped society can be from a soap perspective (exept for B&S I just loved the characters)!
Channel 7 promoted GCB so much because they were going to launch it after the @l^p!cs when they wouldn’t have a lot of viewers to promote it to.
I don’t see the problem with them doubling up episodes. If you like GCB, and have been waiting for 7 to screen it, then you will get to see all the eps that were made at a good veiwing time over the next 5 weeks.
Its obvious whats going to happen. GCB has exactly the right amount of episodes to be played off in double episodes and then a single episode for the finale to lead right up to the fast-tracking of Revenge with the Brownlow in between. If its happening and from that montage of ads i keep seeing it is so if they go back on their word i won’t be happy.
Personally i think they should wait till February but if they don’t then its even better. Its even more funny that there are 7 straight episodes before the first break in the US, exactly the right amount to go to the 2nd last week of the ratings period before the week of the X Factor finale. So it will be interesting to see what Seven does. If they need it then they will use it.
In saying this, if Seven are serious about fast-tracking Revenge they better start advertising it now. Its 6-7 weeks away. Its not that long and viewers need to know.
I hope revenge is not fast tracked and they use the slot for Scandal instead.
I missed GCB and was going to watch it on catch-up, but if they’re already burning eps off, I won’t bother.
And 30 Rock is shafted again.
No surprise Seven is burning GCB off, I loved the 10 eps they made but I don’t get why Seven put so much promotion into a cancelled show? Maybe now they will play them all before the new US Fall season gets under way next month. And they can fast track some new and returning shows.
Always thought it was strange how hard they were pushing this show given that it was cancelled so long ago.
Ugh.. Australian TV (Not just free to air) just does.not.get.it.
I think Seven will fasttrack season 2 of Revenge in October, and since Seven will also broadcast the AFL Brownlow Medal on Monday September 24, it has to rush through GCB as quick as possible.
didn’t see the point in it being aired in prime time at all let alone double eps at 8:30. GCB should swap places with Suits or Covert Affairs or something. Smash should really be the one being played at 8:30 mondays instead. but they did promote the hell out of GCB, who knows why they want an axed show to be a hit!
7 should think about advertising the actual times their shows are on. Pretty sure the first ep of GCB was more than 20 minutes after its advertised time
Huh? Why?
Once a week is enough!
I don’t get the Programmers of free to air TV!!
Is 30 Rock a repeat?
Shame they bumped Up All Night. I’ve watched the whole series and it’s quite good.
It’s called ‘burning the dud off’.
Why are the pushing GCB when it has already been cancelled. Its no wonder people are turning away from free to air in droves.
I really don’t think GCB needs to be a double episode.
