  1. TUT and ‘Would I Lie to You’ are both remakes. In the early 1970s the ABC (here) ran a local show called ‘Would You Believe?’ Same show, same format. Frank Hardy, Len Evans and Jacquie Weaver (!) were regular panelists. We seem to know everyone’s TV past but our own. Lest we forget.

  2. @DPDP: This Australian TV version of “The Unbelievable Truth” is based on the British radio show hosted by David Mitchell. You can hear it on ABC Radio National at the glamorous time of 5am Saturdays.

  3. That’s prob about the best time for TUT (yes, it’s got an acronym already). It prob won’t resonate with Seven’s core audience and isn’t going to get big numbers but might find a reasonable following in that timeslot. I’ll def have a look.

  4. So “The unbelievable Truth” is just a version of “Would I Lie To You?” which has been on ABC1 recently? I hope they can pull it off, but it won’t be easy.
