Freeview better take a closer look at its own TV shows, after confusing UK drama Waking the Dead with US zombie series The Walking Dead.
On the Freeview website last month it told viewers:
And for fans of the supernatural, 7TWO presents Waking The Dead, based on the comic book of the same name, it tells the story of a small group of survivors living in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Most of the story takes place in Atlanta, as the survivors search for a safe haven away from the shuffling hordes of predatory zombies who devour any living thing they catch, and whose bite is infectious to humans.
Bow bowwwww!
For the record, Waking the Dead is a police drama series based around cold cases and stars Trevor Eve, Sue Johnston, Wil Johnson, and Tara Fitzgerald.
The Walking Dead is only available on Subscription TV….y’know, that place where people don’t mind paying for hot new shows?

Freeview has now edited their webpage after this story was published today, despite it being incorrect for over a month.
I always misread that in the TV Guide as well!
Imagine that though…. an interesting non British show on 7TWO…
At least they used the correct ‘to’. Yes, ABC, I’m looking at you.

Maybe they should do a special crossover episode: Waking the Walking Dead.
Each time I see “Waking the Dead” I do a double take because I think its referring to The Walking Dead.
Can. Not. Wait. for season 3.
