Adam Hills signs deal with UK’s Channel 4

Adam Hills has signed an exclusive 1 year contract with Channel 4 but says he will still do Gordon Street Tonight.

Adam Hills has signed an exclusive one year contract with Channel 4 in the UK to host more of The Last Leg.

Hills front the show live for the Paralympics in the UK, using humour to break down barriers over disability.

As part of his new Channel 4 deal, Adam Hills will return for another run of the show in 2013, and Christmas special this winter. Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, who acted as co-hosts during the first series, will also return for the new run.

The new series will broaden beyond Paralympics content.

Hills’ popularity has grown fast because of the series, with Channel 4 set to screen a Christmas Special of The Last Leg, plus Adam Hills Live From The West End, and work on various Channel 4 comedy projects.

On Twitter he said, “To confirm news: I have signed to UK’s Channel 4 for a series of The Last Leg, but will still make a series of Gordon St for ABC Australia.”

He also recently filmed a BBC panel show, titled Monumental.

  1. That’s great he’s got the UK job but if I were him I wouldn’t be rushing back here to make Gordon St. Hill’s just isn’t that good at interviewing and because of it the show is cringeworthy. They should let someone else host it.

  2. Adam Hills is definately doing it right. So many great Aussie TV personalities gain success overseas, so leave Australia behind. At least Adam is keeping Gordon St alive. I hope Hillsy continues to make Gordon St to keep his bond with the Australian audiences.
