Airdate: Comedy Central Roast: Roseanne Barr

Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, Saturday Night Live and Comedy Central Roast: Roseanne Barr -they're all tackling the US Election.

The Comedy Channel has a fair bit of content on the US Presidential Election including ongoing coverage from The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, but there are two other events of note:

Saturday Night Live election specials and  Comedy Central Roast: Roseanne Barr.

The Comedy Channel is airing two Saturday Night Live election specials, Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday, where neither Mitt Romney nor Barack Obama are spared the satire. These half-hour specials will be broadcast exclusively on Thursdays, October 25 and November 1 at 8pm, delivering their sardonic and always entertaining views on American politics.

If you’re sickened by the idea of Mitt running the States, or bored of Barack-fever, then you should be thankful to know another name has popped up on the 2012 ballot – Roseanne Barr. The famous comedian is running for president this year as nominated by the Peace and Freedom Party in America.

Whether Roseanne makes it to The White House or stays in her regular house, check out the hilarious Comedy Central Roast: Roseanne Barr airing exclusively on The Comedy Channel Friday, November 9 at 8.30pm. This scorching spectacle sees Roast Master Jane Lynch and a crew of edgy comedians and legendary actors including Katey Sagal, Carrie Fisher, Ellen Barkin, Seth Green, Wayne Brady, Anthony Jeselnik, Jeffrey Ross, Amy Schumer and Gilbert Gottfried on the dais. From sex and drugs to career failures, no subject is off limits, and along with a special appearance by Roseanne’s ex-husband, Tom Arnold, each guest takes to the stage to roast an American legend and icon: Rosanne Barr – no-one goes unscathed.
