TEN is set to screen Ed Kavalee’s self-funded telemovie, Scumbus.
This has features a host of familiar TV / Comedy names including Toby Truslove, Ed Kavalee, Samantha Tolj, Glenn Robbins, Ryan Shelton, Christian Clark, Henry Nixon, Tony Martin, Dave Hughes, Lachy Hulme, Kate Langbroek, and Peter Helliar.
“What would you do if your best friend was trying to ruin your life? Red and Tommy are two very different cops. Tommy (Ed Kavalee) who does everything according to the letter of the law while Red (Toby Truslove) thinks laws were made to be broken. When they are sent to ‘The Scumbus’, a police station in the worst part of town. Tommy will either hold off the local drug dealers and corrupt cops long enough to earn the promotion he craves and win the woman he loves. Or will Red will finally ruin his life good.”
Based on a story by Josh Lawson, Luke Tierney and Ed Kavalee, it was directed by Luke Tierney and co-produced by Christian Clark.
Kavalee is about to head off to the LA Comedy Film Festival where the film will also screen.

Ten needs to start upping the sizzle for this one.
I’m looking forward to this. I’m glad TEN are giving a self-funded indie film like this a go.
Ed Kavalee isn’t funny, so don’t hold out much hope for this offering.
Could Ten possibly run a Scumbus / Meatpie double feature? The girl is also happy Matt!
