Both Gruen Planet and The Hamster Wheel will tackle the Alan Jones saga of this week, which pretty much make them must-see TV.
Hopefully Hamster Wheel can make mention of John Laws too, given they are shooting today for their super-fast turnaround.

Gruen Planet:
Guest Panellists:
Lauren Miller Cilento – CEO of the Harry M Miller Group (HMMG).
Toby Ralph – Marketer, author and self-proclaimed propagandist.
In tonight’s episode:
· The “Alan Jones” saga – This week, one of Australia’s most powerful and successful communicators showed he could also be pretty bad at it. The panel picks apart Sunday’s press conference, examining the spin tactics of distraction and deflection, apology and blame-shifting, and how 2GB advertising clients reacted to all of it.
· Crimes Against Music – Coles employees have written to the Gruen team to say that working in a store where Down Down is on high rotation is workplace torture. Tonight the panel investigates the process of turning popular songs into ear-bleeding company jingles. And if you thought Down Down was bad, you ain’t heard nothing yet.
· Spin Cycle – Counting down our favourite moves on the old publicity chessboard. This week’s nominees: Capcom, makers of video game Resident Evil, Bob Dylan and pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
· Personal Worst – Each week, Gruen continues its search for the WORST performance by an athlete in a TV commercial. Tonight’s star (and we’re surprised it’s taken us this long to mention him) is Mr Shane Warne, helped out by cricketing mates Sachin Tendulkar and Carl Hooper.
· The Pitch: Hannah Muirhead from Meerkats (Perth) vs Matt Gill from Hammond and Thackeray (Sydney).
The Brief: A campaign to convince Australians to introduce compulsory organ donation.
The Client: One Death is Too Many.

The Hamster Wheel was hillarious and milked the Jones turpitude for all it was worth. It was funny at the expence of someone who can afford it. Well done boys, great work Aunty!
@steveany 2.0, I have been squinting lately.
I think we’re off topic.
@squareyes – perhaps your priapus perception problem is more to do with the four-sided geometric arrangement of your ocular apparatus and thus of more interest to your optometrist than your urologist?
@Secret Squirrel. You mean they’re not meant to look like that ?
@squareyes, D@GP – if yours look like that I recommend seeing a urologist immediately. Or a witch doctor.
@D@GP. I thought it was just me.
Loved the audio grab – the funniest thing about it was the .wav file featuring Jones/Howson resembled a rather long dong.
Freud, anyone… ?
we need a caption comp for that picture, but then again I don’t think a lot of posts would be publishable [is that a word ?]
Audio: Alan Jones vs John Michael Howson
I’m not the only person who can see Alan Jones slowly segueing into John-Michael Howson…?
In picture, voice and… heavens…
Sorry wrong person I thought they were going on about the 1980 F1 World Champ
isn’t Alan Jones a former F1 racing driver
I had a good laugh at that pic.
David, please use it everytime Alan Jones is in the news.
Oh Squareyes! LOL! 100 internet points for you.
Why is there a picture of John Michael ‘ Hollywood’ Howson ?
I blame Dan Ilic.
Am I the only one that think the tv networks are milking this for more than its worth? Yesterday ABC News Breakfast spent a good 20 minutes on it after the 6:30am news (even though nothing of note happened since Jones’s apology on Sunday), the Laws interview last night, and now this.
