TEN is piloting a new project called Shock of the Now, hosted by comedian Tom Ballard that looks at all things digital, from Andrew Denton’s Zapruder’s Other Films (Can of Worms, Gruen Planet).
Described as “smart, challenging, fun, irreverent and unpredictable” it will feature robust discussions, live stupidity, funny clips, ‘f*** me’ moments,” and hopes to do to the digital world “what Top Gear did with cars, Gruen did with advertising and Masterchef did with cravats.”
Yet to be approved for a series, the first recording before an audience takes place in Sydney next week.

Step in the right direction from Ten. More new shows please.
I really like Tom Ballard I hope either this works out for him or he gets his own comedy show, preferably the latter.
Bet it rates better and costs far, far less than that multi-million”dancing” disaster Lachlan organised for his missus.
Tom Ballard would be great in his own sitcom, We need to start making them here in Aus.
