Move over MasterChef and My Kitchen Rules, Nine is set to sample a new food show called The Taste.
The Hollywood Reporter reports Nine has picked up ABC’s new cooking competition show at MIPCOM in Cannes,  as well as securing local remake rights from sales group Red Arrow International.
It features celebrity chefs Nigella Lawson and Anthony Bourdain.
ABC has an eight episode order for the format, in which Lawson and Bourdain head up a panel of four judges pitting America’s most skilled chefs against one another. A local version could see an awful lot of competition for celebrity chefs next year with TEN expected to confirm MasterChef: The Professionals.
Nine also has plans for The Great Australian Bake-Off.

I have watched Anthony Bourdain on SBS…and Nigella on Ch.2….but I do not think this concept grabs me?!?
I really like watching Nigella’s shows, but do I like them (or her) enough to watch Nine? Probably not.
