  1. yeah i don’t think this means anything to scheduling, it’s only about a month earlier than usual anyway.

casting/audition calls spark rumours every season for every reality show. i’m guessing BATG will do an audition call in a few days and people will think the show is returning in Feb, but it will once again wait until october.

  2. Well considering they have not even announced the judges for next year, this will just be the producers of the show scouting for talent.

Dont expect the actual auditions to happen til mid next year as they did this year….

  3. @ C-Boy, that was my instantaneous initial contemplation. It leaves the sense the show will be pitted in opposition to “The Voice”. In the event of this, Seven undisputedly will be committing the ultimate cardinal sin in programming. Didn’t they learn a lesson from this year’s Australia’s Got Talent? Scheduling The X Factor earlier means Seven can’t capitalise on it, case in point “shock eliminations” can’t be bankrolled off the triumph of The Melbourne Cup. Promotions of their flagship programs for the following year are adversely affected.

Ronan Keating and Guy Sebastian are touring in March and April of 2013 so it’s also possible The X Factor will air in June and going up against Channel Nine’s reboot of Australia’s Got Talent.

Seven may be strategising to curb the prospect of Ten reintroducing Australian Idol. There are so many variables. In any event, I hope their intention isn’t to produce two seasons of The X Factor in one year.
