Estelle, Layla, Benjamin in Big Brother finale.

Michael and Zoe have left the Big Brother house leaving Estelle, Layla and Benjamin as the last three.

Michael and Zoe have left the Big Brother house leaving Estelle, Layla and Benjamin as the last three to battle it out for the title of 2012 champion.

Zoe received 14 per cent of votes-to-win, while Michael was evicted having received 16 per cent in Monday’s Double Eviction.

Michael has long been considered a favourite to win the series, but it’s hardly the first time a favourite has been eliminated at the eleventh hour. Sara-Marie was denied a Grand Final shot in the very first season.

Remaining in the battle are Queensland beautician Layla, Victorian accounts manager Benjamin and Victorian law student Estelle. Two currently have 33 per cent of votes-to-win, while the third has 34 per cent. One will win $250,000 and a new car.

So far Estelle is the hot favourite, having galvanized a fiercely loyal band of supporters, while Layla and Benjamin fans may end up seeing their votes split.

The winner will be announced during a two-hour finale at 7pm AEDT tomorrow night. Daylight Saving means Queensland viewers won’t see the event live.

  1. I love Estelle. I’ve been voting like crazy for her to win.

I don’t think it sends a very good message if Ben won. He’s a bully, and very manipulative.

  2. Surely Estelle has to win as she easily has the best character in the house. You only have to look back at her video package just before she went in to see what sort of person she is. She’s always seemed like a genuinely good person and I hope that is rewarded in the end.

We all know Ben is manipulative, Michael calculating and even Zoe’s nastiness came out in the last couple of weeks but those with a keen eye would have noticed her snide comments, although they weren’t shown much, did play a hand all throughout the series. Estelle easily rises miles above the rest for being, as others have said, a good decent person.

  3. I will be happy if either Estelle or Layla wins(prefer Estelle). Definitely not Ben-his indirect bullying from the beginning was awful. If u notice all the way thru the series, any person that Estelle became closer too, Ben was so insulting and demeaning and bitchy about Estelle . I believe Ben has a major issue with communicating and compromising- the classic things that if they cant do then the only option is to bitch about the person behind their back because they cant get their own way so they form a clique for support.

  4. @Dayman, agree 100%

I’m gobsmacked that some on here think that bullying someone is acceptable.

Ben has been the biggest instigator of this and how the producers continued to allow this to happen is beyond me.

I have been giving Estelle my votes, only because if Layla or Ben win, we are sending a message to kids who watch this show, that if you pick on someone that is different to you, you get rewarded.

If the tables were turned and Ben was being singled out, everyone would be accusing the show of being homophobic.

  5. Estelle is the only one left who isn’t mean or judgmental. She deserves to win because she has never compromised being a good, decent person.

She’s had the hardest time in the house and it’s been due to the atrocious behavior by housemates like Ben and Layla. I don’t know how people can get over the sort of environment these housemates created for their non friends.

I just don’t get how people can excuse the bad, mean, nasty, fake, backstabbing, judgmental, exclusionary attitudes held in the house.

Estelle’s biggest crime was that one group declared it there house and that certain housemates weren’t welcome. Which then ended up leading them to hate her when she stayed and some of their group left. Where it just built and built. Right after the eviction last night, Estelle crying, but was making Ben and Layla dinner. While they were bitching about her.

Who could support that? How does that behavior deserve to win?

Not liking someone, doesn’t give you carte blanche to be horrible to them.

Vote against mean and nasty people, vote Estelle!

  6. Makes sense David, my pick to win too.

I maintain Layla is playing the public like a cheap drum and everyone is happy to dance along…but my better half gave me a weary look when I suggested it a while ago.

  7. With all the booing it raises the question, who is voting for Estelle?

Anyway, all my favorites are gone and it will be going to the lessor of three evils now…whoever that may be.

  8. I want Ben or Layla to win I think Estelle is getting the pity vote for being bullied in the house, But as we saw last night she was getting booed every time her name is said.

  9. I’m hoping Benjamin will win – I doubt it though. I don’t like Layla, and Estelle.. well, I guess I’m just a bit annoyed that she’s still there when heaps of other good housemates have left. There is nothing special about Estelle, it’s just that everyone feels sorry for her. I would be very disappointed if she won!

I can only imagine all the boo’s the audience would give, like they have every other night if she won.

  10. Having watched this entire series, i am surprised to see Estelle there. The edits seem to have given the viewer more of others whinging about irritating Estelle than actually showing Estelle being ‘irritating’. As a viewer i don’t feel i know much about her, other than what the housemates have bemoaned. Benjamin and Layla seem much more fully fleshed from the editing. I expected Stacey to be the winner or runner up. Layla is my prediction now.
