Returning: Come Dine With Me Australia

LifeStyle's dinner party reality series is back in January, but the entree is a celebrity special next month.

Dinner party reality series Come Dine with Me Australia returns to LifeStyle in January, preceded by a celebrity edition to air next month.

Appearing in the celeb edition are Kris Smith, Josh Thomas, Chloe Maxwell and Prue MacSween.

When the fourth season returns in January it will be in a new one-hour format.

Back by popular demand, Come Dine With Me Australia series 4 kicks off with a celebrity special, Celebrity Come Dine With Me Australia, on Tuesday, December 11 at 8.30pm. And for the first time, this special edition of the hugely successful franchise will broadcast simultaneously across all four LifeStyle channels; The LifeStyle Channel, LifeStyle FOOD, LifeStyle HOME and LifeStyle You.

Comedian, Josh Thomas; Model and actress, Chloe Maxwell; former English footballer turned model, Kris Smith and Public Relations guru and media commentator, Prue MacSween all vie to win the prestigious top host of the week, as voted by each other, and $2000 in prize money for their chosen charity.

On the first night, Prue is leaving nothing to chance, planning to seduce her guests with an evening themed around “An Orgy of Rude Food”. But is this a night that will leave little to her guests imaginations and their scorecards?

Chloe admits that cooking for four kids and a footballer every night of the week isn’t exactly ‘fine dining’. But will her guests be left with empty plates while she struggles to keep it together in the kitchen?

Night three is the opportunity that Josh, the self-confessed ‘foodie’, has been waiting for. It’s a chance for him to dress-up his beloved dog, John, and to show-off his culinary skills with a complex French themed menu. But has he bitten off more than he and John can chew?

Kris has never hosted a dinner party before, but has high hopes he can impress with his favourite foods from home and his mum’s apple crumble. As the drinks start to flow, what will his guests find when they snoop around his new bachelor pad?

Series 4 of Come Dine With Me Australia will premiere Tuesday, January 8 at 8.30pm and run for five consecutive weeks. This season sees 4 every-day Australians battle it out for the title of ultimate dinner party host. Each episode, 4 strangers will take it in turns to cook up a storm and entertain their guests at home – pulling out all stops to present the perfect dinner party. The new 1 hour format covers all 4 dinner parties, with the winner announced at the end.

Come Dine With Me Australia is produced by Granada Media Australia for The LifeStyle Channel.

Celebrity Come Dine With Me airs Tuesday, December 11 at 8.30pm on The LifeStyle Channel, LifeStyle FOOD, LifeStyle HOME and LifeStyle You.

  1. Hi Kathy – thanks for the reply.

It looks like you can still apply via the CDWM website – comedinewithme.com.au/. There’s an apply tab that takes you through to the application. Direct link is
    go.mycastingnet.com/Apply/Show/CDWM4

Where have you seen it advised applications are closed? I know some people still finalising their application.

  2. @beks, you are partly correct – Website clearly states the applications have closed, and by the look of it, a lot earlier than the date originally specified (30/11/2012).

Open or closed, I am looking forward to watching the new season 4, and of course the Celebrity episode. A terrific choice with the celebrity line-up.

  3. Looks like a tight timeframe. Applications are still open to apply for CDWM Australia – closes 30th November.
How are they going to select contestants, film, edit, and get it to air by Jan 8?
It’s only 5 weeks or so with Christmas and New Year to deal with too.
