MTV Presenter Ruby Rose says she is quitting TV to focus on music.
“I was very wary of being a jack of all trades and master of none, but people are getting used to the whole slashie thing now,” she told NineMSN.
“Nobody is going to want a 45-year-old VJ, unless I get an akubra and become the female Molly Meldrum.
“Music will give you more longevity, it is something people will always relate to where age isn’t a boundary … My good friend Sia is 36, she’s been doing music since forever and is only just starting to get number one records.
“I was having breakdowns, working for days straight,” she said.
“It didn’t feel right. Something had to stop, and I knew that was TV.”
Rose has signed with Universal Music to focus on recording.

But don’t you have to be working on something to actually quit it?
Her ability at self-promotion is astonishing. RR is one person I have just never ‘got’. Straight over my head.
hahaha she has long been linked with MTV but never appeared on the channel. Same goes for her “role” on the Project.
The only TV presenting role I saw her in was some highschool musical show on FOX8 and she sucked!
And nothing of value was lost.
Don’t know whether to be happy or upset about this
But what about her role on The Project?!
Oh no she’s going to punish us by releasing music.
