New pop diva Samantha Jade is booked to appear at Carols in the Domain next month.
The annual event will be staged on Saturday 22 December at The Domain, Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney and screens on Seven.
Jade, who won The X Factor on Tuesday night, has already seen her new single ‘What You’ve Done to Me’ topping the iTunes charts.
“It has been an amazing few weeks on X Factor and I never expected that I would win. I am so pleased to be able to join my love of singing and Christmas by performing at Woolworths Carols in the Domain,” she said.
“I could never have foreseen how this year would have panned out and what a way to finish it, performing for thousands of people. I am still a big kid and I love Christmas and enjoy this time of year spending time with my family.”
“We are very excited to have X Factor winner Samantha Jade as a headline artist this year,” said Co-Executive Producer, Shauna Kane from activeTV.
“Samantha is both a deserved winner and the perfect Carols performer, she is beautiful and talented with an amazing voice, which we know will fill the Domain.”
Jade’s debut album is released on 7 December before she joins the Top 12 Live Tour in January.

@ David…Diva…Kylie….Cher….. you are a bit last century mate….more like Carly Rae Jepsen
Still divas!
Is this the same Samantha Jade that had an album out around 2005 ? No way is she an amateur!
Surely it’s a bit too soon in her career to be calling her a “diva”.
Let’s leave some hyperbole unused for 2013.
She is modelling herself on diva style, but I’m not suggesting she has attained Kylie or Cher status!
I live in NSW but I have to say that the carols in melbourne are so much better. Sydney carols are just a big commercial for their sponsers.
Cool! In other news, The Collective and Jason Owen have also signed with Sony and have released their debut singles (the winner’s singles they performed on X Factor) today.
love the photo
She looks likes Elizabeth Hurley in that picture.
They should also get Bella Ferraro to sing as well. I think she said during her interview on Sunrise that she would love to do Carols in the Domain.
