Matt White & Natalie Barr to host Carols in the Domain

Guests: Samantha Jade, The Collective, Mark Vincent, Jay Laga’aia, Georgie Parker, Rachael Beck & John Waters.

Matt White and Natalie Barr will co-host Seven’s Carols in the Domain on Saturday 22 December at 8:30pm.

The much-loved Christmas event will star this year’s The X Factor winner Samantha Jade and finalists The Collective. Also taking to the stage will be Carols favourite Mark Vincent, Jay Laga’aia and Georgie Parker.

The Christmas cheer will continue with a special performance from the cast of Legally Blonde The Musical, The Ten Tenors, Rachael Beck, John Waters and Troy Cassar-Daley. More allstar performers will be announced over coming weeks.

This marks Matt White’s first year as Carols host, and he says he can’t wait. “It’s such an honour to share the spirit of Christmas with so many Australians. I’m a sucker for a good sing-along especially when I actually know the words!”

Natalie Barr has been counting down the days since hosting last year. “I’m so excited to be doing Carols again. When I looked out on that sea of candles last year it really was one of the most magical nights and a beautiful reminder of families together at Christmas. I can’t wait to do it again.”

The Salvation Army OASIS Youth Support Network is once again the Woolworths Carols in the Domain official charity. OASIS will receive all funds from the sale of official candle bags at the event.

  1. I know it’s the time for cheer and happiness etc but that show was the worst Carols I’ve ever seen … I couldn’t sit there a moment longer. What’s with the ads for Iceage or whatever it was and what’s that got to do with Christmas Carols?

I could hardly hear the singers voices over those of the choir or the music from the orchestra.

It was just awful all ’round.

  2. @BigVic – thanks to the international date line, it’s 21 Dec somewhere in the world right up until 11pm Sydney / AEDT.

Maybe it’s the carols that cause the End of The World As We Know It? I know it’s scheduled to only run until 10:30, but these things have a habit of running overtime…

  3. Well if my memory serves me correct (please correct me if im wrong) … wasnt this Koshie and Mel in the past? Maybe this is the beginning of the next page?
