New ASTRA CEO

The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association has appointed Andrew Maiden as its next CEO.

2012-12-19_0032The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association has appointed Andrew Maiden as Chief Executive Officer, replacing Petra Buchanan who steps down from the role in March.

Maiden (pictured) joins ASTRA after twelve years at Telstra in senior public policy and communications roles including Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, and former roles as an advisor, press secretary and chief-of-staff to politicians including the Minister for Finance and Administration, John Fahey.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to lead ASTRA and represent an industry that employs more than 6,000 Australians and invests $667 million in Australian content each year,” he said.

He begins in March following the ASTRA Conference.
