The Project leads Disability Media Awards

It’s been a good end of the year for The Project, scooping up a Walkley Award and the inaugural Yooralla Media Award of Distinction last week.

The TEN show took out the top prize at the National Disability Awards in Canberra, “For their demonstrated commitment over the previous 12 months to airing disability issues and pursuing stories that shows the person with disability and their achievements.”

Channel 31’s No Limits and SBS’ Insight were also recognised:

Television – less than 5 mins
Grit Media – No Limits
Title: ‘Condescending Tools’

Sam Clark & Elizabeth Re – Channel 10, The Project
Title: ‘Finding Hope’

Television – more than 5 mins
Meggie Palmer – SBS Insight
Title: ‘Breaking Point’

Sally Sara, Chris Lockyer & Pru Kingsmill – ABC, 7.30 Report
Title: ‘Coach Jo Duffield’

  1. Congratulations to The Project. Whilst TEN is copping it at the moment with all the cutbacks, its good to see that they seem to be supporting this show.

  2. Great show. Hopefully it can stay put in it’s new (actually one of it’s previous) time slots.

P.S Charlie, take some time to smile a bit more…
