The Ultimate Fighter: Aus vs UK: live finale

By David Knox on December 6, 2012 / Filed Under Pay TV 2

FX series The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs UK: The Smashes wraps up later this month with a live finale.

Live from the Gold Coast, The Smashes finalists battle it out to become the next The Ultimate Fighter. It’s all or nothing as only one fighter will walk out of the octagon with a lucrative UFC contract. With respect and honour on the line, who will become the next mixed martial arts superstar? The rivalry between UK coach Ross Pearson and Australian coach George Sotiropoulos has been building all season and now it’s time for the coaches to put up or shut up as they go head-to-head in the Octagon.

Saturday December 15 at 1.00pm AEDT.

I must admit, as someone who doesn’t watch a lot of UFC or fighting in general, i’ve quite enjoyed this series. It’s an example of a reality show that’s got their character mix and format correct. Looking forward to Ross and George at each other and while I may be an Australian born and bred, i’ve found George to be quite annoying and I hate to say it, but I think i’ll be cheering for Ross…

Really enjoyed this season of TUF…just wish it was available to a larger audience.
