  1. @ smit0847….it is what it is….it is not pretending to be a formal home show….it is all a bit tongue in cheek….I started watching last year…when it went to a better time slot…and I will be back….I just hope they do not fiddle with it too much…old saying…if it aint broke dont fix it….
Love the hot or not segment!

  2. This is such a strange show. It’s quite an odd cast, a very weird set and format to have people sitting around a fake set in front of a studio audience talking about how much they enjoy real projects – shouldnt this be filmed in an actual living room? I get the feeling Amanda Keller couldnt care less about what she’s talking about (a comedian hosting a DIY show?!).

However, it just works, and it works well. 7.30 Friday is traditionally where TV shows go to die (especially on 10), but somehow Ch 10, in amongst all of their disastrous decisions and projects of 2012 have managed to get an excellent cast who gell really well together and provide a show that perfectly suits that timeslot, and despite all the expected fakeness of the set and host, it seems real and it just works. Despite having no interest in the genre, I have found myself watching and enjoying this show regularly.

  3. Always like Healthy Wealthy and Wise – Shame it’s taken so long to bring something back that’s similar.

Good to see Living room being expanded. It did not set the house on fire in 2012…I was not expecting it to return for 2013… But its a fresh format and hopefully it will improve if Ten can get there act together across the network.

  4. I’ve heard jason cunningham on sen radio doing a finace segment on the run home in the past and thought it was quite good. It would be interesting to see how that translates to television. There isn’t really any evening shows that have this besides the 6.30pm current affair shows.

  5. This is actually one of the shows I watch on Ten (only one or two shows I watch Ten). I like watching this show it’s entertaining and enjoyable and they have a great team, they don’t want to add to much to the show otherwise it’ll loose it’s feel they shouldn’t have added the finance part (we’ve heard everything before)– too much change will probably ruin the show, let’s hope Ten don’t ruin this show in the new season. I prefer watching this than Better Homes & Gardens it just has more of a good feeling to it.

  6. Health and a bit of gardening sounds good. Not sure about a finance segment though. More concerning to me is including a bit more cooking for Miguel. Barry or Chris often get multiple segments per episode and Miguel just the one. It appears they have a working kitchen on set, so maybe some live cooking could be added to the mix.

I assume Andrew will be joining the team on the couch every week and the other 2 will be shown just in segments. Any ideas on this, David?
