Renewed: Californication, House of Lies, Shameless (US).
Showtime has renewed three of its brands, which screen as part of TEN and Foxtel.

US cable network Showtime has renewed three of its brands, two of which screen as part of Network TEN in Australia and the third with Foxtel.
Showtime entertainment chief David Nevins said, “Californication, House of Lies and Shameless possess highly distinctive comedic voices, and given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season – the pick-up decision was easy. I am incredibly excited to see what each of these series has in store for their next seasons.”
David Duchovny’s Californication wins a seventh season and is currently averaging 3.1 million weekly viewers in the US, up 21% from the series’ fifth season. Season six includes Australian Tim Minchin.
House of Lies is garnering 3.2 weekly viewers, up 10% from its first season, and recently nabbed a Golden Globe Award.
Both shows air in Australia on ELEVEN and ONE respectively.
The US version of Shameless is currently up 22% in its third season, with 5.4 million viewers across multiple platforms.
It airs in Australia on Foxtel.

I hope Channel Ten announce soon there plans for House of Lies Season 2 and the indication for when to put Californication Season 6. Why they delay shows without giving indication year after year of similar shows.
Or in the case of Californication aired on Ten, was moved to Eleven, then scheduled for One but dumped a couple of days later before it screened.
I love Californication, but it keeps disappearing. Hopefully this means it’s coming back.

Californication this year isnt as good as previous years. The writing has gone downhill, there seems to be more emphasis on drugs and foul language. Tim Minchin is way over the top, and seems to be channelling Captn Jack Sparrow. Duchovny, as usual is brillant!!
I still enjoy Californication.
I like the characters, i’m comfortable with them and it’s entertaining to see what’s going on with Hank and the rest.
Yeah the show does in many ways feel like they’ve run out of story. So doing variations on what new crazy person Hank has to write for. With other storylines around it.
Although I still never not enjoy it. It’s still always entertaining and funny. While not fresh, it’s never stale, old or boring. It’s always amusing.

Given that Ten abandoned Californication mid-season, I can’t see the sentiments being reflected by network heads this side of the pond.
I hated House of Lies, really boring and pointless show. should have been axed after Season 1. Californication should finish its run after next season, its all the same thing every year – Hank has problems with family and writing, gets in a couple of fights, meets some interesting people, parties and drugs, and having sex with a bunch of girs in-between all of this. with all the news of certain shows being renewed as well as winning awards you would think FTA networks would hurry it up and return some shows!

Past tense for Californication. Where the hell is it? Do we really need three eps of Snog, Marry, Avoid or two ancient repeats of Frasier?
I really like the U.S version of Shameless. Considering how off the rails the original has become.
I love House of Lies on ONE. Hopefully ONE will start showing season two sooner rather than later.
