2013-02-04_0057Season Two of House Husbands begins filming in Melbourne this week, which should give the series a more summery appearance than the winter shoots of Season One.

Firass Dirani, Gary Sweet, Gyton Grantley and Rhys Muldoon all return to the hit drama, joined by Julia Morris, Natalie Saleeba, Tim Campbell and Leah de Neise, plus Anna McGahan and Georgia Flood.

In series two, chaos descends upon the home of Lewis (Gary Sweet) as Phoebe (Georgia Flood) and her new baby Jem settle in. Justin (Firass Dirani) and Nicola (Leah de Niese) pick up where they left off getting their family back together. Kane (Gyton Grantley) and Tom (Tim Campbell) follow their dream of expanding their family, while Mark (Rhys Muldoon) and Abi (Natalie Saleeba) try to adjust after swapping roles in the household.

Guests this season include Craig McLachlan, Madeline West, Geraldine Turner and Rick Donald.

Nine’s Heads of Drama Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, said: “We are thrilled to have House Husbands returning for a second season.

“With such a strong cast and some great names joining the series, we’re excited to be providing more fantastic local drama for our viewers.”

  1. Hopefully the writers have given Kane and Tom some more story lines this season. Their relationship was hardly ever shown in the first series compared to the other couples.

  2. Yay, finally ch 9 renewed a great show. It’s been a while since they have done that. Loved Cops LAC and Tricky Business, both great shows, but they just dump them and don’t even give them a decent go. Really love House Husbands so hope it will be going for a few years yet.
