The Classic Re-Invention Test
Season 1, Episode 7
They’re dishes we all know and love, and on tonight’s Classic Re-invention Test menu, a contestant draws a knife from the block to reveal an old family favourite, the Sunday roast. How will they re-invent this one? Without a recipe, the 14 contestants present their interpretation, with the worst performer going home.

Monday 4 February, 7.30pm
Skills Test
Season 1, Episode 8
Tonight’s episode sees 13 contestants put to a Quick Fire Skills Test. Three rounds, each with a different core ingredient and a diminished time limit. At the conclusion of each round, two contestants are deemed to have cooked the worst two dishes and relegated to the locker room, to face elimination tomorrow.

Tuesday 5 February, 7.30pm
Restaurant Service Challenge
Season 1, Episode 9
Special guest chef Jacques Reymond
The losing six contestants from yesterday’s skills test are put to tonight’s restaurant service challenge and face world renowned chef Jacques Reymond, who has brought five of his best cooks with him. Together they’ll compete against the six MCP contestants. With Matt joining the patrons in the restaurant, the two teams cook off. If the diners prefer the contestants meals, no-one goes home. If they prefer the meals from team Jacques, the worst contestant performer is eliminated.

7.30pm Sunday, Monday and Tuesday on TEN.

  1. From someone on a tight budget, who is more than happy with baked beans on toast and a cup of instant coffee, I am prodably not one to pass comment.

But MKR and Masterchef Professional are totally different formats with food food food food the only common common common , denominator, denominator denominator and everbody has different tastes tastes tastes and do not forget his name is Marco Marco Marco, I wonder who Marco marco Marco would blame if everybody served up triple over orders?

To me its a shame he has only(ironically) won 3 ‘Michelins’ 3 ‘Michelins’ 3 ‘Michelins’ and not 4 ‘Michelins’ 4 ‘Michelins’ 4 ‘Michelins’ 4 ‘Michelins’ otherwise he would have had enough for a full set for his getaway car car car

  2. Now I’ve caught up with MKR, I’m definitely placing my preferences with Masterchef. It’s absolutely the superior in casting, narrative and production. Nice effort though, MKR.
