On Sunday night Nine has scheduled a Nine News Special promising “the truth about Oscar Pistorious.”
They were the perfect couple.
The Olympic Hero, The Beautiful Model.
But on Valentine’s Day, it all went horribly wrong.
His Friends His Families His Enemies expose the untold dark side of a Fallen Hero.
Sunday 8.30 on Nine.
It’s not yet clear what happens to The Mentalist, previously scheduled at 8:30.

Just saw the promo – Blade Runner: My lover, My Killer!
I am disgusted!! The guy hasn’t been to court yet! He has admitting to shooting her but his word is that it is an accident. Who are Channel 9 to judge!
The whole promo made him out to be a monster.
Let him have his day in court and then see what happens. This should not be aired until after his trial!
The Mentalist has been bumped to 9:15pm
Of course what time it actually starts and how much of The Mentalist Channel 9 shows is anybodies guess.

This sort of stuff has dominated US TV news for the last decade. Now it is our turn. Even the ABC in Sydney delivered 10 minutes of rambling semi-coherent commentary live from a spot of ground somewhere in South Africa the other day.
Pretorius has applied for bail claims it was all a tragic accident is all the actual news. The rest just playing into the hands of the PR firm Pretorius has hired to try and manipulate the legal system.
Channel 9 will be glad of any excuse not to show their regular lineup and will resort to any gimmick. Apart from the TBBT they have nothing that is rating well.
Lurid, sensationalist crap that will be devoid of any real information. Presumably, since this hasn’t even gone to trial yet, they won’t reveal the killer at the end, just like they didn’t with the scene cut from The Mentalist last night. Massive irony there.
I can see how Mentalist fans would be annoyed but unlike Mentalist, I actually want to watch this special as I am interested in it. So, Nine will have an extra viewer on Sunday. If it were just one story on 60 Minutes, I probably would have missed it.
Nine just found this week’s reason to extend “60 Minutes”. “The truth…”. What a load of crap. A trial hasn’t even commenced yet tabloid-tv masquerading as “Nine News” promises to tell us “the truth”. Not just bad. It’s totally wrong.

How are yet going to get the truth? That is up to the courts. Yes, it’s a big story but I don’t think it is that big that their normal news couldn’t cover it. Or at least bump a story on 60 Minutes for it. I don’t like it.
It’s way too soon for this kind of ‘special’ maybe if it was a 60 Min story it would be okay.

Just pick 1 timeslot and day and show without filling the schedule with repeats!! How hard is it? Ch9 response: “very hard we don’t care about viewers just ratings”
