I found MKR was annoying a bit last night. It felt like the only couple judging the food was jessie and biswa. I like hearing opinions of all. It was like they were cooking again. Thats how much footage they got. Home and away was particularly river boy focused again last night. I am quite enjoying some of the other characters but it feels like we hardly get to see them accept if it is about the river boys. Very much enjoyed packed to the rafters last night. I recall a story on this site about the packed to the rafters house being for sale
(http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2012/11/for-sale-packed-to-the-rafters-house.html)
and the preview for next week episode showed a fire. Does that mean they might be moving house?
NCIS will never pick up while it can be downloaded 4 hours after it airs in the States. Repeat ratings will likely be their only score until they work out how to catch the numbers that are down loaded. Overall, adding in the rural areas of Australia, they usually rate between 1 million – 1.4 million each week. Down a lot, since Channel 10 use to get that much alone. Its gaining 19 – 22 million each episode in the States.
@Damien,
Here in Perth we are and will always be traditionally Channel 7 – the 6 o’clock news is fronted by Sue & Rick and has been for over 25 years. We have our own local version of Today tonight, and Channel 7 run telethon. Channel 7 are a local brand in Perth, where as Channel 9 is just WIN – their 6 o’clock news is poorer in quality, and there is a lack of connection with the presenters and reporters.
Good to see H&A holding good numbers against Block and ABC news!
Monday and tues top 5 identical, just swap one Ch7 drama for another!
Good to see Rafters increase!
People in Peth are funny.
How can it be that Channel 9 news gets roughly one third the numbers of Channel 7?
I don’t get it…go on change the channel, I dare you!
@ William
Spot on suggestion. That is the only way it will survive. Plus anyone with a passing interest can always catch up on Saturday nights when the whole week is replayed on Eleven. Also, NCIS is doing terrible numbers this year – beaten 110K by an old repeat of New Tricks!!!
MKR is on fire, and although a lot of commenters here seem annoyed it is rating so well, the fact is that everyone who watches it loves it, and it has provided many water-cooler moments.
I reckon TEN should put MC: TP on Sunday night, Monday night at 8.30pm and leave it on a Tuesday night
@bette. the block ads say its only 6 weeks, meaning it will be over well before MKR is.
MKR is a massive hit.. colossal. Astonishing numbers.
It was a beautiful PTTR episode last night because they got back to just there family.
Parenthood was again brilliant as well. Its an under rated show. But its a shame its not on next week.
Also why is the morning show going on for 3 hours this week?
Ten will have to put MCP on other nights – away from MKR.
Having two reality cooking shows up against each other was a recipe for disaster – and MCP has been the unfortunate casualty.
It’s a shame because the show is more about cooking than bitching and squabbling like MKR is.
The Block has it’s own fan base and will perform well – especially when MKR finishes.
MKR is huge, MCPro is dying. It looks as though MKR will be even bigger than original MC and will be interesting to compare the numbers later this year.
