Adam Zwar and Dave Lawson join Seven footy

Comedians Adam Zwar and Dave Lawson join Seven to look at everything that happened throughout the week in AFL media.

2013-03-29_1851Comedians Adam Zwar and Dave Lawson have joined Seven’s Saturday Night Footy, to feature in a pre-game weekly segment, known as  ‘Media Street.”

The segment will be a light-hearted look at everything that happened throughout the week in AFL media, whether it’s on a TV show, on the airwaves, at a press conference or in the back-pages of the newspapers.

“Dave and I are big footy fans, and love the whole football media circus. So we’re compiling all the gold and the gaffs that happen each week in the world of football news and commentary,” says Zwar.

“Richo’s bloopers, Dangerfield doing Barry Hall impersonations, Brownless attempting to count to eight, it’s all here in one jam-packed segment. Basically, it’s three minutes of thrills and spills featuring anyone and everyone who Denis Pagan famously accused of ‘wandering down media street.’”

  1. That was the most boring segment I’ve ever seen.It looked as though Seven just dragged a couple of bar flies out of a pub and put them in front of a camera.

  2. For the 2012 ParaOlympics, the ABC included Lawrence Mooney, Adam Zwar and Sam Pang in the evening show. They brought so much to the table, such a wealth of sporting knowledge, such an in-depth understanding of athletes with disabilities. Not!

Why does FTA television insist on making sure there is a ‘comedian’ in every show?

  3. If they want an easy target. Have a counter ticking everytime Seven News Sports presenter Basil Zemplias mentions that Fremantle Dockers captain Matthew Pavlich is exclusive to Seven Perth. ie poached from talking to Nine News Perth.
