Two acts have now been announced for the 55th Logie Awards.
They are 16 year old British singer Birdy (real name Jasmine van den Bogaerde) whose song Skinny Love reached #2 on the ARIA charts, and whose album that reached #1.
The other is English singer-songwriter Olly Murs, who was runner up of the UK X Factor whose single Troublemaker (featuring Flo Rida) reached #4 on the ARIA charts.
The Logies will announce their nominations next Monday ahead of the broadcast on Nine, Sunday April 7th.

We still have to get overseas acts for our local awards, do we?
Yeah! for people famous for 5 seconds!
That’s great, but hopefully there’s at least one local artist… Or instead they’ll probably try for someone huge right now, like frank ocean
Two great performers! I’m happy with that. Though some older folk might not know who Olly Murs and Birdy are…
Didn’t Skinny Love get to #1?
Any news on potential hosts or whether there will even be one. Last year was terrible because there was no host. Share Borne was good in 2011 but I think a fresh face would be good. What about someone like Share Jacobson. He has presented in the past and was good. As he has a new show coming to Nine the network won’t mind, and most people seem to like him.
