Eddie McGuire joins Friday nights on FOX Footy

Eddie McGuire will join AFL pre and post show coverage on FOX Footy from Friday night.

EMT31Eddie McGuire will join AFL pre and post show coverage on FOX Footy from tomorrow night.

He joins the likes of Paul Roos, Gerard Healy, Jason Dunstall, Dermott Brereton, Alastair Lynch, Mike Sheahan, Mark Riciutto and Brad Johnson.

McGuire’s EMT show, which was airing on Wednesdays on FOX Footy last year, will return across FOX Sports at a date yet to be announced.

FOX Footy is pleased to announce Eddie McGuire has agreed to switch from Wednesday to Friday as host of its brand new Friday night footy coverage.

“The offer to host FOX Footy’s incredible brand new Friday night coverage was too good to refuse. It’s an exciting prospect to take this channel further this season by offering viewers unrivalled insights and analysis on the games. I can’t wait to get started,” said McGuire.

Head of FOX Footy, Rod Law said, “We’d love our Friday night footy coverage to become part of everybody’s Friday night ritual. Eddie’s expertise and passion, combined with opinions from the best in the business sitting alongside him, will ensure compelling Friday night viewing.

“2013 will be a big year for Eddie, and as part of this move EMT (Eddie McGuire Tonight) will now be broadcast nationally across the FOX Sports channels and will shift its focus to the biggest stories and the biggest names both nationally and internationally.”

Joining McGuire on Friday nights will be Paul Roos, Gerard Healy, Jason Dunstall, Dermott Brereton, Alastair Lynch, Mike Sheahan, Mark Riciutto and Brad Johnson to name a few.

FOX Footy’s Friday night coverage starts this Friday 22 March from 8.00pm AEDT with live and exclusive pre-game, half-time and post-game coverage. Adelaide Crows v Essendon will be Live from 8.30pm with no ad-breaks siren to siren.

  1. Look forward to it Ed always does a good job,and CraigW Ed did not call any Collingwood games last year on Fox Footy,and this year will be the same

  2. To me Eddie is the Kyle Sandilands of the AFL. He loves to be heard, but not many of us want to listen to what he has to say. I’ll be passing on the pre and post game coverage.
