Renewed: Continuum

Canadian SciFi series Continuum has been renewed for another 13 episodes.

2013-02-05_1150Canadian SciFi series Continuum has been renewed for a second season.

The show about a female cop, ‘Cameron’ (Rachel Nichols), from the future who is trapped in present-day Vancouver has been renewed for another 13 episodes by Syfy.

The second season  will see ‘Cameron’ pick up from the season finale where she fights a ticking clock to prevent a cataclysmic act of terrorism.

The series also co-stars Victor Webster as ‘Detective Carlos Fonnegra’ and Erik Knudsen (Jericho) as teen tech genius ‘Alec Sadler.’

It airs in Australia on SF.

Update: Once again TV Tonight readers are smarter than the Hollywood Reporter -or at least smarter than the bloke who read it in THR but not in Canadian news last August. Thanks for the correction.

  1. @Pertinax,I have not got a clue where and when this has been aired in Australia but i get the impression you may not have watched the entire first season as the big twist may involve your concern.(I don’t believe that to be a spoiler,is it?)
I watch a lot of this genre and this was by far the best show of its type for many years and believe if the writers can continue along this path it may become dare I say it as great as my all time favorite,Galactica.

  2. Continuum is a good show but it is shame they couldn’t come up with something more creative than the genius teenager who sits all day at his computer and can hack or find out anything in seconds. Lazy writing.

  3. Continuum better have been renewed as they have already filmed the second series and it starts next month in Canada! The Hollywood Reporter has it wrong (again) with another Canadian show. Showcase that produces Continuum renewed the show in August 2012. Perhaps the news is that SyFy in the US has picked it up and will show it in June?

  4. @ David – “renewed for another 13 episodes by SyFy” same error as Lost Girl article last month – Continuum is made and shown in Canada by Showcase and SyFy only rebroadcasts it in the U.S.
