In the first of a two-part Top Gear special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are in Africa with a simple mission – to find the definitive source of the Nile. Over the years many explorers claim to have already done just that, but the Top Gear trio believe that they can do better by travelling further and faster than any exploration team in history using only grit, ingenuity and three ageing estate cars.

  1. The season has been short but sweet, and so good it’s on BBC Knowledge just a week after the UK with minimal ads. Plus with the encore screenings you get to see it when you want to!

I guess there is no word on FTA yet, really hope that Nine passes them on to SBS.

  2. It’s so refreshing watching this show as it’s supposed to be seen, i.e. not hacked to pieces and filled with commercial breaks. I’m happy to pay to watch shows when they are treated in this manner and would love to see more overseas content shown on Foxtel first.
