US network Starz has released a trailer for Michael Bay’s Black Sails which features Aussie Luke Arnold.
Launching in 2014, the eight-episode first season follows Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his men 2- years before the story of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island takes place.
Described as a brilliant and feared pirate captain, Flint takes on a fast-talking addition to his crew, John Silver (Luke Arnold). They fight for the survival of New Providence Island, an infamous criminal haven teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers, a place defined by ideals and brutality.
Arnold will also play the role of Michael Hutchence in Seven’s Never Tear Us Apart: The INXS Story.
It’s not clear whether Black Sails will air on Free to Air or Pay TV in Australia.

i’d guess that this would end up being a MA15+ starz show, which is usually a turn off for free to air. but it does look good, perhaps a bit to similar looking to pirates of the carribean, i can spot a jack sparrow, kiera knightley, geoffrey rush and Luke Arnold is a doppleganger for orlando bloom.
This looks interesting, hopefully it gets a go on free-to-air here
