Bumped: Fashion Star, Glee.

Glee and Fashion Star make a switcheroo next week due to an M rated storyline "the most powerful emotional Glee ever."

2013-04-16_1114From next week Fashion Star and Glee will have a switcheroo on ELEVEN.

The Glee episode to screen next week, “Shooting Star” is M rated because its storyline involves guns at high school.

This caused quite a bit of talk in the US airing not long after the Sandy Hook school tragedy.

Ryan Murphy tweeted of the episode:
“It is the most powerful emotional Glee ever. So proud of the cast & crew.”

ELEVEN is moving it to 8:30pm which avoids it having to be edited to PG (phew!). Fashion Star moves to 7:30pm.

A week later both shows remain in their new timeslots, so it appears to be a permanent move.

Tonight they remain at 7:30 (Glee) and 8:30 (Fashion Star).

  1. That’s crap Pertinax and you know it.

    1) Any “fines” imposed are pathetic and not a deterrent, and they only come about if somebody decides to make a complaint. Which is then looked at (slowly) and then a punishment (if deemed necessary) is imposed, which is rarely a fine, and more likely to be a limp lettuce of “education”.

    2) Take a gander on this site alone Pert, there have been many many complaints about editing of shows where the editing is unjustified and the networks have even stated (on occasion) that this is because of “time constraints”. (read: “we needed more time for the ads”)

Don’t try to spread that garbage about the edits being in place to avoid a fine. While I am sure that some edits are made for this reason, most (I believe) are not.

Looking forwards to this episode though, and truly hope that Ten do not butcher it.

  2. This episode is absolutely phenomenal! Totally taken by surprise… I was left stunned for a few moments thinking “What the hell just happened…”, was basically in & out of tears for the rest of the episode!

  3. @DK – David said it didn’t have to be edited in order to get a PG rating. He didn’t say that it wasn’t going to edited.

Our commercial networks have a history of gutlessness when it comes to showing shows unedited. Be it because they are too queasy or (more often) so they can fit a few extra seconds of ad space in 🙁

  4. I’m so glad they’re airing it unedited. Amazing, amazing episode. The performances are phenomenal (surprise, surprise) and it was directed incredibly well.
