  1. David Knox April 2, 2013 at 2:44 pm -

Where they are broadcast at the same time, networks can merge them.

  2. emurray April 2, 2013 at 2:14 pm -

Oztam and the networks need to come to an understanding about being able to add both primary and secondary channel figures together for same show. For example AFL yesterday would have made top 20 if you add the normal figure for 7 + 7mate for the northern regions. Same with GEM figures for the league although sure that wont make such a big difference.

  3. jonno April 2, 2013 at 1:51 pm -

582k for The Project is heartening. Sydney figures are down and if they could do something to lift that citys figure by another 100k things would look better. TEN need to get some exclusives for this show and promote it better as it should be able to pull 800k, which would be good in this market. I am only saying this because its my favourite show and want to see it survive.

  4. Pertinax April 2, 2013 at 1:24 pm -

What you need to properly measure the audience for cable dramas is the +7s for all screening of the episode plus the On Demands.

I probably won’t get around to watching Game of Thrones till Thursday night.

I notice that SBS2’s relaunch lost nearly 40% of the handful of people who used to watch it.

  5. Johnson April 2, 2013 at 12:34 pm -

@DeeCee: the 4.20pm premiere of Game of Thrones got 95,000 and the 8.30pm encore got 109,000.
The AFL also garnered 87,000 on 7mate in Sydney and Brisbane.

  6. Pertinax April 2, 2013 at 11:10 am -

The Walking Dead got 133k last Tuesday and 158k on week I saw.

The figures for cable dramas are probably viewings until 2am when the data is collected.

  7. MM April 2, 2013 at 10:50 am -

If channel 7 news was wrongly coded why cant the figures be changed on the nightly chart and showing it as being 2nd in the correct place?

  8. Pete April 2, 2013 at 10:25 am -

Great numbers for Game of Thrones – Foxtel is definitely the home of fast tracked quality TV.

  9. David Knox April 2, 2013 at 10:09 am -

    AFL was 527,000.
Game of Thrones: with all the replays and +2 channel I can’t be sure of the methodology sorry.

  10. Beckala April 2, 2013 at 10:04 am -

The 7:30pm Big Bang Theory was a new episode – it wasn’t coded that way in any of the guides, but it was a new episode – the one they were advertising two weeks ago.

  11. Rutzie April 2, 2013 at 10:02 am -

Looks like Seven resting MKR for a week was a good move. Strong figures on its return. I must admit I’m a bit surprised to see it that high as I thought it might’ve dropped down to about 1.5million given the weeks break.

  12. DeeCee April 2, 2013 at 10:00 am -

David, do you know which Game of Thrones was 4:20 and which was 8:30?

  13. Joe April 2, 2013 at 9:37 am -

What did 7’s AFL match rate David? I presume they coded this incorrectly as well.

  14. Daniel April 2, 2013 at 9:36 am -

First time in ages Ten News and The Project have been level or even close to one another in ratings.

The Biggest Loser also held up okay for Ten.

  15. David Knox April 2, 2013 at 9:32 am -

NB: Seven coded their News incorrectly, merging daytime and primetime. Should have been 1.43m.
