600,000 average audience between 9am and 10am but of course the broadcast was longer.

  2. matt_897 April 16, 2013 at 4:09 pm -

Any overall figure for the Masters? Did look like it peaked nicely

  3. David Knox April 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm -

They do seem to “lose” things a fair bit resulting in group searches. It gets back to the challenges of keeping principal characters together when they are not living / working at same locale. Now you know why we have hospitals, legal and police settings a lot!

  4. JimboJones April 16, 2013 at 12:53 pm -

Is it my imagination, or is House Husbands just a bunch of recycled Hey Dad! plots?

I’ve never seen such lazy screenwriting. The Mother-In-Law from hell? Sheesh – we’ve seen that about a million times before. I’m just hanging out for the high school reunion episode and all the other plots from the big book of 101 Screenwriting Cliches.

  5. JoeBloggs April 16, 2013 at 12:47 pm -

Is this like the MKR 1 Voice 0 scorecard from last week in here?

  6. Cam Reed April 16, 2013 at 12:19 pm -

I don’t know, I think the 8:30-45pm watching landscape has changed over the last couple of years, you have people who will stay on and watch and others who watch what they recorded either from another channel or from the night before.

Plus perhaps The Voice/MKR demographic turns off and does other things, like jumping on the computer/tablet and chatting about the shows after. Or just participate in other online things at that time before bed,

Drop offs happened for both shows and House Husbands won the Demos and timeslot, perhaps some watched The Voice recorded MKR (and vice versa), then watched those at the end of each show.

I really don’t think anything will capitalise on The Voice figures during this Blind Audition period, TV viewing habits have changed, people are doing other things at 8:30pm these days. Sure once these auditions are over The Voice ratings will likely align closer to the show after, however that will be due to them dropping like last year.

  7. ryan1890 April 16, 2013 at 11:23 am -

I think the House Husbands result is poor for Nine. Look at the retention out of The Voice. About half of the audience watching Voice completely switched off for House Husbands. The specific demographic retention wasn’t that good either. So far, despite a second stellar season performance from The Voice, Nine have been unable to schedule a show behind it that retains a good portion of the ratings. Underbelly Squizzy and Arrow may be their last hope to capitalise on the Voice lead in.

  8. Cam Reed April 16, 2013 at 10:52 am -

    Huh @Cookie.

Totals: House Husbands: 1,031,000. Revenge: 1,009,000.

    In the Demo’s: 25-54: House Husbands: 590,000. Revenge: 509,000. 18-49: House Husbands: 554,000. Revenge: 475,000.

How is that an epic loss when it won across the board.

  9. bettestreep2008 April 16, 2013 at 10:18 am -

    Thanks David.

I thought it was strange that TB&B would have rated so well and no mention of the repeat of Adam Scott’s golf win.

And even a ‘historic’ sporting occassion couldn’t save Ten! ABC1 almost beat Ten/One/Eleven combined!

TBL – like MCP – should not be up against the blockbuster TV or the consistently high rating MKR.

Ten really needs to bring back Neighbours and put The Project back on 7pm for half an hour.

  10. David Knox April 16, 2013 at 10:04 am -

Bold & Beautiful rpt is actually Adam Scott’s US Masters overrun.
