  1. If you want to see a picture of the three judges, Ronan has put up one on his Twitter feed from the weekend. Its worth checking out Redfoo’s outfit. Totally outrageous. The girls will never be able to compete.

  2. I think he will be Amazing!!! He has a great music history, he has had so many great singles as well. I also love how current he is and the outfits he wears. I am tipping 9 out of 10 the next X Factor Australia winner will be from his category!!

  3. It’s interesting that he and Danni were rumoured long ago, but they were only able to announce Danni last week and him on the day of filmed auditions.

I wonder how they, and Ronan and Nat will all get along compared to previous panels. Bit sad that Ronan is the only original Australian X factor judge remaining (excluding the series of X factor on 10 however many years ago).

  4. I hadn’t heard of him other than that huge hit, but to discover he is the son of Berry Gordy, makes him instantly more appealing. He brings a rich history and legacy as well as his own style and voice. Still sad that Guy is gone.

  5. People who don’t know Redfoo should youtube him. He performed on Xfactor AU on 2011 and you would find it hard to find a more energetic performance anywhere. They should go with guest judges until Nat gets back on her feet. I cannot wait for new season and getting Dannii, OMG.

  6. @adzg, “No one really knows who he is here either!”

seriously? ARIA charts 2011 he has the #1 and #6 single of the year, better effort than Adele, Lady Gaga, gotye, etc. I guess there is no pleasing some people but i think he is everything people ask for in a judge, he is very sucessful, very current, and has a personality.

its a shame Nat can’t be involved. the producers should have tried to line it up so that her waters break in front of a live audience, perhaps right when an auditionee hits a high note, during the remote outback town auditions. imagine the drama and promotional opportunity. It would be so X factor 😀

  7. RedFoo will be very entertaining! He has a lot of personality and adds an international touch.

    As for his musical credibility:
    – x2 Billboard #1 singles
    – 2 million copies sold worldwide of his last album
    – Party Rock Anthem being certified 31x Platinum globally
    – Sexy And I Know It certified 20x platinum globally
    – Works with will.i.am, David Guetta etc.

  8. I went to the Sydney auditions last night and for all you haters out there… you might need to bite your tongue because he was hilarious on the show… offered a great balance of entertainment and objective criticism… and the talent this year just in my sitting was amazing – around 4/5 that could make it to the finals… imagine what the other sittings/states could offer – cannot wait for X Factor this year…

  9. It’s great to see someone who cannot sing judge a singing competition.

Reminds me of Britney Spears judging one of the music shows in America

and I believe Geri Halliwell is being considered to replace Mel B on Nine’s AGT.

I hope all these ‘singing’ judges advise the contestants about the importance of lipsynching and technical ways to make their voices sound better.

  10. Oh my god people!

Give the poor man a chance. He might be very good as a judge and coach on X Factor. We can’t say we hate him or that we aren’t going to watch the show until we see the episodes.

He is part of the successful band LMFAO and has hat hit singles in Australia and overseas. If you don’t like that he is singing about partying or being sexy and not about boyfriends and break-ups then get over yourself. Not all music has to be sad, heart felt penned music.

People want dance, up-beat songs and LMFAO provided that for us. Go redfoo!! Out of 23 million aussies you have 1 fan here.

  11. Disapointing! He doesn’t have The X Factor in my opinion! No one really knows who he is here either! In saying that he may be a good judge! Will just have to wait and see!
